Visual Considerations

Dear Microsoft Office Team,

Back when I was using Office 97' I was able to change the default Microsoft Word background color to a slightly dark, yet more soothing than white, blue background color. I wasn't particularly fond of the blue, but again better than staring into a bright white background which could definitely be blinding at times. Especially when you have been staring at you goddamn screen for more than 4 hours.

You took this feature away from me and others. I am sure it is because it would cause confusion since the lettering would become white on a blue background. I'm sure this confused people who actually thought it would print out that way too (WYSIWYG).

That being said, could you please for the love of people who already can't see very well change your minds about not including this option. I value what is left of my eye sight and would like to be able to read what is on the screen without squinting too hard. I don't think this is too much to be asking for, even in a programmatic sense.

All I want is to have a black background with white lettering on it. Obviously the inverse is true for printing.

This would be handy for Word and Outlook.

Thanks,

Blagger
