So I went to the UM Hosted Beaux Arts Festival and for the first time in my whole life I purchased a piece of art for about 350 dollars. I love art, but I could never afford to buy any above the price of 20 or 40 dollars before. So I didn't just buy it on a whim, but I bought it because I loved it. It is a black and white drawing/painting on rice paper by a Chinese Artist from Virginia. Not a small piece, but not super large piece either. I love the piece and I am glad I bought it, but I already absorbed a good portion of my monthly spending budget on a sheet of rice paper that looks pretty in my bedroom. I am just glad I could buy it period. I now have the capability, it feels good.
