Our Taxes in Orbit

I seriously dislike the fact that our money goes into orbit. What are you talking about? I don't like the idea that we are constantly exploring space, I think that those millions of dollars spent on those kinds of things should be reinvested down here on earth. Maybe take an astronauts salary and put it to good use. I really feel that our money is squandered on space missions. The worst amount of waste is when we have satelite dishes pointed at the sky sending signals to no one in space. That is the biggest waste there is, it is absurd. I know that a lot of things have come out of space travel and aviation has gone a long way because of it. I appreciate all that, but I don't think sending people into space at this point and time is really helping. I'm sure people disagree with me on that, but whatever... it is what it is. A giant waste.
