I used to not care for steam, but now, it has been years since it has been created and I fucking love it. Steam is a genius system for keeping your games up to date and for allowing you to keep track of what you own. I love it because there is stuff I own already, that I have owned for years and they were all on disc. Eventually when steam rolled out I didn't want to deal with it, but soon I saw the benefit of downloading steam and having access to all my games anywhere.
Very smartly designed.
I like how it uses a source control approach to make sure that games are up to date and files that may have been corrupted or are missing are replaced. This was a very good move on their part.
That being said, two games that are a lot of fun:
