I don't understand people who think they have tried every concievable combination to a solution. First off depending on the complexity of the issue, people are generally wrong about this. You cannot try every combination or rather you did not try every combination when you flail your arms and say "I tried everything."
I had someone buzz in my ear that he tried everything about a rather complex problem. I then found several things this person missed all together.
