Is it just me or are the sales people at LA Fitness the biggest douche bags ever? I have had to deal with the sales people on two separate occasions at two different locations. Both of those times was a major displeasure.
The first time the sales guy wouldn't tell us (me and someone else) the price of membership until we took a tour and gave him some info. He was really pissing us off and we ended up not signing up because of it.
This second time it was me alone, I get a corporate discount and I pretty much made up my mind about joining, but I still wanted to give myself a few days to think about it. I went to the gym with a friend to try it out and in order to get in I had to give them my drivers license. So after working out, a sales person had my drivers license which I expected so I had to speak to them before I could get it back. After explaining that I have the corporate plan, I am asked for a credit card, to which I respond that I want to try it out for a few days before signing up, to which I get a reply of "but it is just 29 dollars a month." So I said again, no, I want to try it out and think about it first. She kept pushing me and I wouldn't budge.
I asked her for documentation regarding what I get for the price and she said she doesn't have that, but she has a class schedule... what the fuck that has to do with what I asked for I will never know.
So yeah, if you ignore the sales people, not so bad.
