The Arrogant Professors

I really hated a lot of the shitty professors from my college. I had shitty professors for just about every one of my core classes which makes me sad. I am tired of arguing with people about a very black and white issue. I don't know about you all, I went to college to learn, specifically I went for engineering. I don't feel that I got what I paid for frankly. The professors I had were uncaring, un-knowledgeable assholes for the most part. There were indeed the exceptions, but they were few and far in between.

The shitty professors somehow flourished at my college, they had tenor and couldn't give a shit what happened to you. There are two professors I have in mind who I hated the most. One is an FPL drone pawn operative and the other is a piece of shit who has a lot of ties to IBM. They will remain nameless until I feel safe enough to reveal where I went to school and the assholes' names. They both suck and were more than okay with screwing you over if they wanted to.

Professors get defensive when you explain to them why you thought another professor was a bad apple. I made that mistake once, I won't bother again. All I remember is the professor I was talking to basically telling me that I am probably at fault, that I didn't try hard enough or that I was a bad student blaming the professor for my short comings...

It is easy to pass the blame and I mean that on both parts. The student and the professor. However, one thing is certain, there is something wrong when people who graduated from a particular school are black listed from a company for hire. They can't all be bad students, it is the school's fault and the shit professors who teach there. It is the program failing. My college was black listed from Motorola and I think Lockheed Martin. Not sure if the ban still exists, but to give you an idea of how bad this was, all the people hired by Motorola from my college were all fired just for being from my college. A similar incident occurred at Lockheed Martin. That is bad and very telling of the quality of education being produced from that university.

Luckily I am very good at programming, so not finding an engineering job was not a problem for me. I am sad that I couldn't work as an engineer at least once, but "it's okay" I keep telling myself "I will practice in my free time". And I have... *sigh*

My school thinks it is a good idea to screw over its students by making them use technician's manuals as college books... I am not sure if you have ever read a technician's manual, but that shit is useless unless you know the subject material already. Fuck that shit. I think it is unfair to make students use poor reading material with no practicality at all. It should be illegal and I think the students need to approve the books, not the board or the professors. They don't use the book, the students do.

The books I hate the most are the books that don't explain how to do problems in the book. This to me should be illegal because it is a waste of goddamn time to even read the shit if you won't be able to solve the practice problems in the book! I don't think answers to problems should be absconded either, every student should have the opportunity to review the answers to a problem. There shouldn't be this teacher's manual crap, students need access to answers to make sure they know what they are doing.

Lastly I don't think anyone should be tested anymore unless there is a good reason for it. I will explain more in a followup post.
